Clusters with KNC status are entities of significant importance for the country's economy and high international competitiveness. This year the second call for proposals in contest for clusters applying for this status was carried out. In 2015, in the first edition, seven clusters received KNC status.
 
Bydgoszcz Industrial Cluster is one of the oldest clusters in Poland. It was established in 2006 and associates companies of the tool (production of injection molds and special tools) and plastics processing industry and a range of business environment institutions, including universities, research and development units, offices, entrepreneurs’ associations and financial institutions.
 
Bydgoszcz Industrial Cluster can boast of cooperation with industry clusters from all over Europe and participation in international projects. It has also received the Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative.
 
This success of the cluster is the success of its members and the entire tool and plastics processing industry, the region of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is the largest basin in Poland (only in Bydgoszcz there are around 200 companies). It is also the promotion of Bydgoszcz and the region on the national and international arena.
 
The enterprises of the Cluster offer high-quality molds and other processing tools and also deal with the manufacturing of plastic products for various industries, among others: household appliances, food, medical, pharmaceutical, automotive, cosmetic and packaging industries. The cluster members cooperate with the most well-known corporations in the world: AUDI, VW, Avon, L'Oreal, ALGIDA, IKEA, HENKEL and Revell.
 
A great opportunity to get to know the industry and its specifics will be the International Cooperative Trade Fair of Tools and Processing Industry INNOFORM organized by the Cluster together with Targi w Krakowie Ltd., which will take place in Bydgoszcz in April 2018.
